A countryside fairytale wedding

It's June, the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining down on Hareston Manor on the morning that I arrive to Hayley & Ben's wedding. Approaching Hareston is like something out of a fairytale, you go through rolling Devon countryside hills, to then get to a beautiful house, full of character and charm.

The main bedroom has lots of light, which makes for the most beautiful backdrop for photos - if you don't hear me say it once, you'll hear me say it a million times - if you want your morning prep photos to be light and airy, you must be in a room with lots of natural light. Trust me on this one!

I had the pleasure of working with some incredible suppliers on this day, including Fiona Miller MUA and Hareston Manor themselves - it was a total pleasure to photograph at this venue and honestly, they are an incredibly friendly and accommodating team.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful church in Yealmpton - again the church was very accommodating when it came to photos. Something to consider when you are doing a Church wedding is making sure you have spoken to your vicar about your photographer taking photos, if photos in the church are important to you - please check with your vicar that photos in the church are ok, as sometimes there are limitations.

After a beautiful church ceremony, Hayley & Ben took a drive to Hareston Manor, where they were greeted by the owners with some welcome drinks. Their guests started to flow in, whilst the lovely Claire Marie was on the saxophone, creating the perfect ambience for the guests arrival.

The wedding breakfast area at Hareston Manor is set up in a teepee on the top field, which works perfectly so guests can sit down and enjoy the meals and speeches, and after they can spend some time outside on the sofas and chairs overlooking the rolling countryside views that surround Hareston.

For couples photos, Hareston has a selection of places that are perfect - there is a small chapel on site which creates a truly magical space for photos - lit up with candles and florals was Hayley's vision and it was the dreamiest setting. Behind Hareston there is lots of green space which leads down to a pond with a willow tree which is also a fabulous setting for photos.

If you're looking for a dreamy, countryside, fairytale feeling Devon wedding venue, Hareston could be the one for you. You can find out more about Hareston Manor via their website here.
